Created in 1957, the Nice International Summer Academy is one of the oldest academies in the world.
Some 50,000 students of over 50 nationalities have already come to hone their skills with the greatest professors in Nice, the capital of the Côte d'Azur and one of the most prized tourist destinations in the world.
Nice Classic Live, the music festival associated with the Academy, allows students to enjoy the concert experience under the best conditions. They can also attend all the festival's concerts, both those by guest artists and by their Masters.

For more than 60 years, the Nice International Summer Academy has been an important institution in the French and international musical landscape, as can be seen from the scope of its actions:
- top flight education and accompaniment for young musicians called on to become the musicians of tomorrow,
- the organization of “Nice Classic Live”, prestigious concerts particularly in the unique and magical setting of the Cimiez Renaissance Monastery Cloister in Nice.
With its history, its renowned tutors and soloists and its international influence, the Summer Academy has become an essential event serving musicians and artists.

Artistic training of the highest quality with famed masters. There has been a long line of famous names who have attended as both students and tutors. It has produced legendary artists such as Jean-Pierre Rampal, Maurice André, Alexandre Lagoya, Pierre Sancan, Paul Tortelier, Lily Laskine, Jessye Norman, Aaron Rosand, Leonid Kogan, Dalton Baldwin, etc.

Want to record a video? The Academy’s Studio puts its skills and technical means at your disposal to build your musical career, your musical projects and your communication requirements, with the video mock-up option.
The Academy also regularly opens its doors to YouTube. Singers, instrumentalists, etc.; all musicians can express themselves or find masterclass videos of interest to them.:::
THE ACADEMY LAB
In 2020, the Academy organized Online Master Classes, thanks to an incredible new technology. The YAMAHA Disklavier piano allows you to hear a piano connected remotely with great aucoustic fidelity. This was a world first for a Summer Music Academy within a conservatory with interaction between two sites, several thousand kilometers apart and a European first, with its global format. This system is the future which the Nice Summer Academy is pioneering.
